Neuroscience for Neurodiverse Learners Recruiting for Summer 2026

We are happy to announce that, with help from a sizable donation from the leadership team at the Carl James Dunlap Memorial Fund, we are hosting our Neuroscience for Neurodiverse Learners summer camp again in 2026!

Carl's Fund provides scholarships to help students with disabilities achieve their educational goals. Carl’s parents and godparents wanted to repeat their gift from last year, honoring DO-IT's work and recognizing how important DO-IT was to Carl and his success at UW.

The Neuroscience for Neurodiverse Learners camp is hosted at no cost to campers identifying as having one or more neurodivergent characteristics. It offers a week on campus packed with classes and activities. Some of the classes are led by Dr. Eric Chudler, Executive Director and Education Director at the Center for Neurotechnology. DO-IT Staff lead classes on mentoring, college preparation, technology, and more, as well as tours through interesting scientific campus areas (such as the greenhouse, medicinal garden, and lab spaces).

The Carl James Dunlap Memorial Fund also continues to fund student scholarships. We are grateful for their support and the opportunities their fund provides for students just like Carl.

To continue our program beyond 2026, we will need funding to support the programmatic costs. We hope you can make a difference for students with disabilities by supporting DO-IT. Donate online today
